On Sunday at 19:30, the return playoff match for the 2026 PGE Ekstraliga season will take place. GEZET STAL Gorzów will face ABRAMCZYK POLONIA Bydgoszcz on their own track, who defeated Gorzów 47:43 last week. The task ahead for Gorzów is to recover the losses and maintain their place in the elite for the 2026 season. Bydgoszcz, on the other hand, aims to advance to the desired PGE Ekstraliga.
Four points – this is the gap the riders of GEZET STAL Gorzów need to close before the rematch with ABRAMCZYK POLONIA. The result from Bydgoszcz gives hope to Gorzow fans for recovering points and staying in the PGE Ekstraliga for the 2026 season. In excellent form is Anders Thomsen, who scored an impressive 19 points for the Gorzów team last Sunday at Sportowa 2. Gorzow hopes that the Danish rider’s good form can be the key to staying in the top division.
However, Thomsen alone is not enough to keep PGE Ekstraliga; thus, the hosts must rely on good performances from the remaining players, particularly Martin Vaculik, who has something to prove after a not-so-good match in Bydgoszcz. It is worth mentioning that due to the injury of Oskar Fajfer, Gorzow will use a so-called “Rider Replacement.”
In ABRAMCZYK POLONIA, they are eager for PGE Ekstraliga and will undoubtedly approach the clash in Gorzow highly motivated. They can undoubtedly rely on valuable insights from Szymon Woźniak, who competed in Gorzow’s colors in the 2024 season. Maksymilian Pawełczak also had a fabulous league debut, who could be the player tipping the scales of victory for the Bydgoszcz team.
For this to happen, however, the other players must show high performance, such as Oleksandr Loktaev or Krzysztof Buczkowski. Important points should also be delivered by the Briton Tom Brennan.
