Magdalena Świergała (ekstraliga.pl): Looking at the final score (56:34), it might seem that it was an easy match for you?

Bartłomiej Kowalski (BETARD SPARTA Wrocław): Honestly speaking, I struggled a bit. There are never easy matches in PGE Ekstraliga, even though the score suggests so. The team from Gorzów has very good riders and everyone wants to win. We raced at home, we had the advantage, and we used it. We rode consistently from the start, and I am happy we won.

You can’t hide that you feel best on the home track. In each of the five races, you brought in points. You can be pleased with your performance.

I am definitely pleased. I feel that this track surprises me at times. I wasn’t perfectly adjusted – either it started spinning me or it pulled harder, and that caused problems. I need to keep working on it.

After weaker performances against the teams from Lublin and Grudziądz, does the number of points scored against GEZET STAL add some calm to your team?

Yes, definitely. Despite everything, I know that we have a lot of work ahead to present a consistent form in every match.

In your first race you started from grid C, which is not the best. Nonetheless, you got off to a great start, defeating good starters – Martin Vaculik and Artem Laguta.

I have the beginnings of matches at home under control, the worst part comes at the end of the match. I can’t find the ideal path and the right setup. It results from correctly reading the conditions on the track.

After the 11th race, you could already enjoy a won match, adding two important points to the league table. Is it difficult to maintain concentration until the end in such a match?

Maintaining concentration is definitely key. We are in the boxes, having meetings and thinking about what is happening from race 1 to 15. The match continues.

You’ve already had 5 matches in the 2025 season – what makes you the happiest?

I think the two home matches with STELMET FALUBAZ Zielona Góra and GEZET STAL Gorzów were good performances for me. That fills me with joy. I don’t know where the problem lies in away matches. It shows me that I have a lot of work ahead, and we must find good settings also on tracks other than Wrocław. Time flies quickly, and I need to prepare for the upcoming matches.
