The 91st edition of the 'Przegląd Sportowy’ Poll is behind us. According to the fans, Klaudia Zwolińska deserved the title of the best Polish athlete of 2025. The second place was awarded to Iga Świątek, the third to Wilfredo Leon, and Bartosz Zmarzlik ultimately finished just off the podium in fourth place.
This year’s 'Przegląd Sportowy’ Poll was held at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw. The only representative of speedway at the Sports Champions Gala was Bartosz Zmarzlik, for whom this was already the tenth nomination. – I love our league, which stands strong. Without the fans, this wouldn’t be possible – said Zmarzlik before the start of the ceremonial Gala.
Ultimately, the speedway rider from ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin took fourth place in the Poll, and the award was presented to Zmarzlik by two-time Olympic silver medalist Maja Włoszczowska.
– In speedway, maybe fourth place isn’t too good, but to be in this Poll and in front of two Roberts is a big achievement. I’m still young and feel young. I have many dreams and a lot of strength left. I want to know why I win and why I lose because often at home, I get asked by my biggest fan, my son: „Why didn’t you win dad?”. Thank you to my whole family, for whom I do all this. I told myself that when I become world champion, I would get married. I got married. Then I promised myself that I want to do it in front of my son and I did it. Then, a second son was born, and I did it too. Now, I dream of continuing to do it, but for them to be fully aware of it. Dear parents and brother, thank you. I also want to thank all my partners and sponsors, because without them, we couldn’t fulfill ourselves in sports – confessed the six-time Individual World Champion after receiving the statue.
