The 91st edition of the „Sports Review” Poll is behind us. According to fans, Klaudia Zwolińska deserved the title of the best Polish athlete of 2025. Second place went to Iga Świątek, third to Wilfredo Leon, and Bartosz Zmarzlik ultimately finished just off the podium – in fourth position.
This year’s „Sports Review” Poll was organized at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw. The only speedway representative at the Sports Champions Gala was Bartosz Zmarzlik, for whom it was the tenth nomination. – I love our league, which stands strong. Without fans, it wouldn’t be possible – said Zmarzlik before the start of the ceremonial Gala.
Ultimately, the speedway rider from ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin took fourth place in the Poll, and the award was presented to Zmarzlik by two-time Olympic silver medalist – Maja Włoszczowska.
– In speedway, maybe fourth place is not too good, but being here in this Poll and ahead of two Roberts is a big achievement. I’m still young, and I feel young. I still have many dreams and a lot of energy. I want to know why I win and why I lose because at home, I often get the question from my biggest fan, my son: „Why didn’t you win, dad?”. I thank my whole family, for whom I do all this. I told myself that when I win the world championship title, I will get married. I got married. Then I promised myself I wanted to do it in front of my son’s eyes, and I did it. Then my second son came into the world, and I did it again. Now, I dream of continuing to do it, but for them to be fully aware of it. Dear parents and brother, thank you. I also want to thank all my partners and sponsors, because without them, we couldn’t fulfill ourselves in sports, said the six-time Individual World Champion after receiving the statuette.
