Easter 2026 will be the opening date for the new season of METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga. All matches can be watched live exclusively on CANAL+ Sport5 and the CANAL+ streaming service. In total, 70 matches will be played, including playoffs.
FULL SCHEDULE OF METALKAS 2. EKSTRALIGA 2026
How was the schedule created? It considered 27 speedway weekends in the season. Among them, 8 Fridays and Saturdays will be occupied by international FIM events, making it impossible to play a full league round. Additionally, 13 Saturdays will be occupied due to the organization of other international FIM or FIM Europe events.
Speedway clubs do not own the facilities, which means that overall 20 times in the 2026 season we encounter situations where the facility owners conduct other events or activations unrelated to speedway. There are 11 such situations in METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga (9 in PGE Ekstraliga).
Next year’s schedule includes:
- most matches played on Saturdays and Sundays in the regular round (single ones on Thursdays and one on Friday, 31.07)
- Thursdays with two matches on one day (there will be three such occasions in the regular round: 4.06, 18.06, and 13.08)
- Thursdays with one match on a given day in the regular round (there will be two such occasions on 21.05 and 25.06)
- each club will be the organizer of one match on Thursday during the regular round
- the July break in games is a gesture towards fans who often plan vacations during this period, as well as analysis from previous years regarding interest in speedway. During this time, there will also be opportunities to play potential rescheduled matches and international competitions will take place.
METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga matches will be broadcast on CANAL+ Sport 5 and the CANAL+ streaming service.
Let us recall that the TV contract with Canal+ for METALKAS 2. Ekstraliga is valid for the 2026-2027 seasons.
