We have learned the schedule of the PGE Ekstraliga for the 2026 season. In the first round, an exciting match is anticipated between the two best teams from the 2025 season.

In the premiere round of the 2026 PGE Ekstraliga, the teams ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin and PRES Toruń will face each other. The meeting of both of this year’s PGE Ekstraliga finalists promises to be extremely electrifying. We asked Maciej Kuciapa for his comment regarding the schedule:

Certainly, at the start, we have a very strong opponent, and it will be a tough match. I hope the weather conditions will allow us to practice calmly and get familiar with our home track. I definitely wouldn’t want to start the PGE Ekstraliga inauguration after just one or two training sessions. I wish the weather allows us to do proper training at home because it can be crucial in terms of the outcome of the inaugural clash in the PGE Ekstraliga – said the coach of ORLEN OIL MOTOR.

Preparations for the new season will largely depend on weather conditions, which have not been very favorable in recent years:

Apart from the inauguration, the schedule can be considered favorable for us, but of course, the results will depend on the form of the players. I would prefer to play the first match away due to our location and the unfriendly weather in spring. Though, this year, it has been really good in that regard because we started racing quickly and didn’t have to look for training facilities elsewhere. As I mentioned, the key will be the weather. We have new players in our ranks, so I would like them to have the opportunity to participate in as many training sessions on our track as possible. The entire preparation process will be dictated by the weather we encounter – commented the coach of Koziołków.

There have been a few changes in the lineup of the vice-champions of Poland. Dominik Kubera, Jack Holder, and Wiktor Przyjemski have left the Koziołków team. On the other hand, the club has signed Kacper Woryna and Martin Vaculik:

Regarding the new acquisitions in the persons of Kacper Woryna and Martin Vaculik, they have had several opportunities to race on the Lublin track, but it was only in match conditions, not in calm training. I hope to conduct enough training sessions so the guys can adjust their engines to our track – assessed Maciej Kuciapa.

Following the announcement of the schedule, the Lublin team can slowly focus on detailed planning of sparring matches and training sessions:

We are in preliminary talks regarding sparring matches, but these matters will only be finalized as we were waiting for the announcement of the schedule. Our main concern is getting plenty of riding time before the inauguration. Our squad consists of very experienced players. We are doing everything to prepare as best as we can for the season. We are aiming for the highest goals, which is the final. As a team, we are highly determined to reclaim the championship title – he added.
