U24 BECKHOFF SPARTA Wrocław claimed the U24 Ekstraliga championship for the second time in a row. On Tuesday evening at the Olympic Stadium, the Wrocław team thrashed AVO KS Toruń 58:32.

Even before the rematch, U24 BECKHOFF SPARTA was in a comfortable position. Their 49:40 victory in the first match in Toruń gave the hosts a solid advantage, and their form throughout the season suggested that the gold was within reach. However, the Wrocław team did not intend to rely on calculations. From the first race, they moved with full force and quickly took the lead 11:7.
Then came a series of five consecutive race victories, and the hosts’ advantage grew to twenty points. Fans in the stands could almost be sure that the gold medals would stay in Wrocław. The decisive moment came in the eighth race when the duo Marcel Kowolik – Mikkel Andersen confidently defeated Antoni Kawczyński and Michał Duchiński. Thus, with the score at 34:14, they practically sealed the championship.
Andersen along with William Drejer and Jakub Krawczyk remained unbeaten for most of the event.
The Toruń team was unable to compete. The Wrocław team consistently added points. The final score of 58:32 was the best summary of the entire season, in which U24 BECKHOFF SPARTA demonstrated from the beginning that they had a strong line-up.
The most effective local players were the trio Francis Gusts, William Echardt Drejer (both with 11), and Jakub Krawczyk (11+1). The most points for AVO KS Toruń were scored by Antoni Kawczyński (11).
