Wiktor Przyjemski was the undisputed winner of the Red Bull Junior Aces in the 2024 season. The main prizes in the program were vouchers for the purchase of a speedway bike engine, consultations with a tuner, and a stay at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center in Thalgau, Austria. Last year’s winners, Mateusz Cierniak and Bartłomiej Kowalski, had the opportunity to stay there.
The ORLEN OIL MOTOR Lublin player dominated the overall classification of the prestigious competition and was voted the best junior of the match fifteen times by fans. – I think changing clubs was a big plus for me, which was visible in my race average and overall riding. Undoubtedly, it was a successful season, and although I know it can always be better, I consider this year successful – said Wiktor Przyjemski in an interview for ekstraliga.pl.
The current Individual Junior World Champion, who debuted in the PGE Ekstraliga, with a race average of 2.060, ranked 13th in the entire league’s ranking of the most effective players. Additionally, he had the opportunity to gain new experiences in an international league.
– I also gained a lot from racing in the Swedish Bauhaus-Ligan, where I had the opportunity to represent Rospiggarna Hallstavik. Riding on a home track that is technically challenging taught me a lot, and that’s why I signed a contract there. I rate the past two seasons on Swedish tracks positively, and we definitely don’t intend to give up racing in that league. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a very successful season for my team, as we failed to advance to the playoffs, but I learned a lot from racing there – said the gold medalist of the 2024 Polish Team Championships.
Despite the excellent run of the Lublin youth player, the most spectacular actions in April were performed by other competitors.
The aforementioned Wiktor Przyjemski performed phenomenally, in contrast to an away match against FOGO UNIĄ Leszno, where he had a fierce battle over distance with Nazar Parnitsky. How does the program, created in cooperation with the Red Bull brand, evaluate the person involved?
– It seems to me that you can feel the competition related to the Red Bull Junior Aces event, which I also felt, among other things, at the PGE Ekstraliga Gala. I think it’s a really great initiative with valuable prizes. I’m very happy that I will be able to go to the Red Bull center, and additionally, I will also receive an engine. I’m convinced that the stay there will benefit me, and I treat the prize itself as “payment” for my junior achievements. I find the initiative very positive – said the junior of the Lublin team.
– I don’t know exactly how the stay in Austria will look and what we’ll be doing specifically. I know that last season Mateusz Cierniak was there, so I’ll certainly ask him how it looks. It’s great that I got the chance to be in that place because the best athletes, not only in speedway but in the entire motorsports world, are trained there, so it’s a distinction for me. As for the next season, it’s clear that I’m thinking mainly about winning, and if I could, I’d like to win everything, but I know that’s sometimes impossible. I prefer not to speak loudly about my goals and dreams because I want to focus on achieving them, but I will definitely give it my all – concluded the leader of the Red Bull Junior Aces 2024 classification.
